Do you close if the weather is bad?
We are indoor haunt with indoor with indoor waiting, so we are open as scheduled!
How scary is it?
We wait eleven months of the year for this…what do you think?
Do you accept credit cards at the door?
We will have a credit card machine that accepts debit & credit at the door, you can also buy tickets online.
Where do I park?
You can park out front of our haunt, there is parking all up and down the road.
I have a large group of people coming, can I get a better price?
You line ’em up, we cut ’em down. Group sales inquiries may be directed to 315-868-2829 or Herkimercountyhauntedhouse@gmail.com preferably at least one day prior to your visit.
Is this for little kids?
The Dark Side Of The Valley was not designed for smaller children, although with parent consent we will consider it.
Can I bring a flashlight? Can I bring a Phone? Can I bring my uncle Billy?
No flashlights, no cameras, no video and all cellphones are to be turned off upon entry. If your phone is out and gets lost during the haunt, You will be able to retrieve it the next day. Uncle Billy is ok, but he has to pay like everyone else.
Will I get touched by any of the characters?
No actors will touch you @ The Dark Side Of The Valley and we must insist that you do not touch any actors or props. Unauthorized touching will result in your ejection and we will take full action with the law.
How long does it take to get through?
Approximately 10-15 minutes.
Do you give refunds?
There are no refunds given under any circumstances.
What happens if I am so freaked that I just have to get out?
Any actor or security personnel can escort a patron in…distress, out via any one of several emergency exits. You will not be issued a refund, If you are too scared, we did our job.
Are there any health concerns I should know about?
If you are pregnant, prone to seizures, heart problems or other serious health issues please be forewarned. We use lights,strobes, scents and music to create a sensory mix that has been known to overwhelm our visitors. The Herkimer County House Of Horror may not be for you.
Is there food or snacks?
We have 3 different food trucks with our total of 18 NIGHTS OF HORROR. We will also be selling cider and donuts :)
